Santa Clause - SketchUp

Here is my santa clause I created during class #11

I created a cylinder as the base and began building from that.

I then began creating the coat and the button.

To create the arm, I had to put a rectangle base to push out two cylinder.

I used the "follow me tool" to create the curved arms.

I created a beard and made shoes and hands to finalize my santa clause

FaceGen

I initially tried to upload my own face into facegen. Even though, I was successful in uploading it, it did not look exactly like me. This is most likely because I did not use a very hi-resolution camera to take the pictures. I used the face to generate 5 different expressions

I thought this one was funny.I tried to mix sad and happy expressions together.

This expression is meant to resemble "the rock" He has one eyebrow raised and one eyebrow flexed. At the same time, I tried to give him an intimidating look.

This next expression was to mimic a person giving a "fake" smile.

This is an expression combines surprise and being scared.

This last expression is a man who is extremely frustrated and wants to take out some anger.

VRML Character

Using photoshop cs3, I removed every blemish from John's face. Afterwards, I played with the hue/saturation of the image to create a much darker skin shade. I also decided to give John a gotee. Th last alteration I made was to change his eye color to a vibrant blue.

America's Army

This game was a lot more difficult than I had anticipated. It took me several tries to get through the training. Here are a few snapshots of me doing it.

This is me trying to finish the obstacle course in time. I had to move very fast without any mistakes to be able to complete it.

This is me completing the sharpshooting training. The targets were very far away, which made it difficult to shoot.

Here I am completing the last training mission. Random enemies and friendlies popped up, and I had to use a combination of flash bangs, grenades, and firepower to get through the training.

In the end, I somehow ended up in jail. I think I shot the instructor by accident and killed him. Once in jail there was nothing for me to do. I would have to restart, and begin from scratch.

Class #9 Homework Lion

As I had mentioned to Professor Walsh, I was unable to make class #9. I was in India for Thanksgiving break. Isaac mentored me and was of tremendous help. He helped cover theclass that I missed.

Here is my lion that I made for homework. I had to look at a lot of videos for help and guidance. Here are the steps I took in making the lion.




I first set-up a structure. It took me a while to figure out how to manipulate a rectangle into the shape I desired.



I had to learn to to create a sphere. I ended up creating two circles sitting onto of each other, and then using the follow me tool.



I was then ready to make a face. Creating the detaisl was a lot more work than I had imagined.



I decided to give color and life to my lion. I also created a tail.


I used my creative freedom to add a mane and make it colorful. Below is another angle of my lion.


I think it came out pretty well in the end.

Class #8 Homework Astronaut

Here is my astronaut I workd on for hw. This was the assignment for class #8.

I first started with a cylinder and created the legs off of it.

I then added three sphere inside each other to create the helmet. I also had to work on the structure inside the cylinder to be able to attach body parts.

I then added a back-pack to the astronaut. I decorated it with repressed circles. I also created the arms and the control pannel under the arms.

I decided to also decorate the other side of the bagpack.

I then added color and finished my astronaut.

Here is my astronaut uploaded onto google earth. I decided to upload him right onto the BC football stadium.
